PHYSICAL THERAPY

 

 

Individual treatment to obtain maximum movement and strength with diminished pain.

 

Individualized treatment goals may also be to:

 

Evaluate, test, and measure the area(s) to be treated, along with the surrounding musculoskeletal, neurological, pulmonary, and cardiovascular systems.

Develop a plan to improve function, decrease pain, return to normal movement, increase strength, reduce future trauma, and improve everyday life activities.

Utilize the available tools needed to accomplish the goals set for each patient.  Some of the tools used are as follows:

- T.E.N.S. units

- Traction

- Massage

- Casting & Splinting

- Phonophoresis

- Inotophoresis

- Ultrasound

- Fluidotherapy

- LIDO testing & strengthening

- Stretching

- Aerobic conditioning

- Aquatic rehab

- Body Mechanics

- Myofascial release

 

Our licensed Physical Therapist is present for all treatment.  Aide staff may be given specific tasks to perform with patients under the direct on-site supervision of the therapist.  Treatment is often supplemented by home exercise programs with written instructions.

Therapy on Saturdays is available - We provide appointment times every Saturday to better meet your needs on scheduling.  Please let us know if this will work better for you and your lifestyle.

 

Warm Aquatic Therapy Great for Cold Days - Warm Water Aquatic Therapy is provided all year round in heated pools.  This allows our patients to rehabilitate and heal at the same time.  The shallow end is only waist-deep so patients don't have to swim or get their hair wet!
