  • Fractures & dislocations
  • Repetitive-motion injuries
  • Carpal tunnel syndrome

  • Shoulder, arm, wrist & hand pain
  • Leg, hip, knee, ankle & foot pain
  • Arthritis, bursitis & tendonitis

Sport-specific therapy that gets results.

Our experienced staff prescribes the right exercises and treatments for your condition and your particular sport. Clinical studies have shown that active manual physical therapy is highly effective for reducing pain and restoring function quickly after an injury. We use a range of proven, time-tested techniques and the most advanced manual therapy, including soft-tissue mobilization, myofascial release and more.

Our therapists also use the Nintendo® Wii™ for Wii Rehab, which challenges patients to move much like athletes playing sports such as baseball, bowling, boxing, golf and tennis. In addition to adding a fun and competitive element, “wiihab” games require body movements that help improve strength, flexibility, balance and cardiovascular condition. Wii Rehab is useful for a range of patients, from children to the elderly, and for such conditions as broken bones and postsurgical recovery as well as injury prevention.

Denton Sports & Physical Therapy Center is the only practice in the area to offer an aquatic therapy program. During aquatic therapy, the buoyancy of warm water allows patients to relax and perform therapeutic exercises that may be difficult or painful on land. The gentle resistance improves strength, endurance and range of motion.

Other treatments include:

LIDO testing & strengthening – An FDA-approved, noninvasive device to assess motor function.

Fluidotherapy – A dry heat therapy that can help relieve pain, improve range of motion, encourage healing and decrease swelling

Phonophoresis – Uses ultrasound to enhance the absorption of topically applied analgesics and anti-inflammatory agents

Iontophoresis – Uses a small electric charge to deliver a medicine or other chemical through the skin – an injection without the needle
