IMPAIRMENT
RATINGS
An
impairment rating is a computer generated percent of impairment with
report for disability claims.
 |
The
American Medical Association (AMA) has established criteria for
rating permanent impairments. The criteria are useful to
physicians, attorneys, and adjudicators in fulfilling their
responsibilities to patients, clients and applicants seeking
benefits from agencies and for programs serving the injured worker
after it has been determined that the worker has reached maximum
medical improvement. |
 |
Our
therapists will provide physicians with objective data yielding a
computer generated percent impairment with a report using AMA
Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment, as used by the
Texas Workers' Compensation Commission (TWCC). |
 |
All
reports are reviewed by our therapist certified for the Basic Course
for the Designated Doctor in the Texas Workers' Compensation System. |
